UNK Housing Open to Kearney Center Students

June 3, 2022

รศรรสำฦต and the University of Nebraska-Kearney have entered a unique residential housing partnership.

Beginning in fall 2022, the รศรรสำฦต/UNK Residential Housing Program will allow รศรรสำฦต students studying at the Kearney Center to live in UNKโ€™s Randall/Mantor hall or Centennial Towers. Kearney Center students must be enrolled in 12 or more credit hours for both the fall and spring semesters and be age 25 or younger on the first day of classes.

โ€œรศรรสำฦต is thrilled to be embarking on what we believe to be an historic and unique partnership with UNK, said Dr. Beth Klitz, รศรรสำฦต dean of student success. โ€œWhile รศรรสำฦต and UNK have partnered recently on multiple 2 + 2 instructional programs, this is the first student services agreement between the schools. Through this program, รศรรสำฦตโ€™s Kearney Center students have a tremendous opportunity to experience the benefits and rewards of an on-campus living experience.โ€

In addition to affordable housing and a safe environment, รศรรสำฦต-Kearney students can opt into such UNK services as health and counseling, student events, the wellness center and student parking.

โ€œรศรรสำฦต administrators and UNK residence life team have worked to develop a strong partnership that I hope will encourage a seamless pathway for students to transition to UNK when they are ready to transfer,โ€ said Trelana Daniel, UNK director of residence life. โ€œWe are committed to providing a strong out-of-classroom educational environment for university students and are excited to be branching out to assist college bound students that need housing in the Kearney area. This is a mutually beneficial arrangement for both institutions, and we look forward to strengthening the partnership in the coming years.โ€

Applications to live in UNK housing are now available and interested students may contact Ashley Weets, director of student and enrollment services at the Kearney Center for more details. Her number is 308-338-4027. For complete details, click here.
