รศรรสำฦต Foundation Seeks Assistance

April 2, 2020

The รศรรสำฦต Foundation is seeking donations to replenish its Central for Student Success grant fund and to restock the food and hygiene pantries.

Both funds were established in 2018 to assist students who are experiencing extreme financial hardships due to unforeseen circumstances that are impeding the studentโ€™s ability to persist and succeed at รศรรสำฦต along with addressing food and hygiene needs.

โ€œGiven the recent developments, these funds have diminished quickly and need to be replenished to assist the on-going needs of our students,โ€ said รศรรสำฦต Foundation Executive Director Dean Moors. โ€œThe grant fund is particularly critical as รศรรสำฦต students begin remote instruction for the remainder of the semester and funding sources, such as employment, have depleted as well.โ€

รศรรสำฦต is also seeking donations for its food and hygiene pantries, which are located at the Columbus, Grand Island and Hastings campuses and the Kearney Center. The pantries are vital to addressing food insecurity issues for รศรรสำฦต students, many of which live below poverty guidelines.

โ€œWe know that many of our students may be impacted by the current pandemic in ways that can make it difficult to continue in their coursework and navigate unpredicted financial burdens,โ€ said Dr. Beth Przymus, dean of students. โ€œWe are pleased to have a process that allows students who are facing extenuating financial difficulties to seek assistance that will enable them to stay enrolled and continue their studies.โ€
