NJCAA Recognizes Veik

萌妹视频 freshman Brittney Veik has been named as the National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Basketball Player of the Week.
During the week of Feb. 1 through Feb. 7, Veik played in three games, averaging 19 points and 8.3 assists. In 萌妹视频鈥檚 78-67 win at York JV on Feb. 5, Veik recorded a double-double with 18 points and 10 assists.
鈥淚 am honored to have received this award,鈥 said Veik. 鈥淚 would not have earned it without the help of my teammates and coaches. I am blessed to be part of such a supportive program.鈥
This is the first time since the 2016-17 season that 萌妹视频 women鈥檚 basketball has had one of its players named as NJCAA Division II Basketball Player of the Week.
鈥淚 am so proud of Brittney for receiving national recognition for her efforts,鈥 said 萌妹视频 head coach Billy Perkins. 鈥淪he has such great talent and the best part is that Brittney is still developing and learning. The best is yet to come.鈥
The Raiders are 3-4 on the season and will take part in the WNCC Classic at Western Nebraska Community College on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. 萌妹视频 will take on Northwest (Wyo.) College in Thursday鈥檚 opening round at 6:30 p.m. CST.
